CenCal Health Welcomes New Members to their Board of Directors

CenCal Health is pleased to welcome two new board members, Douglas Metz, M.D., and Mark Lisa, to their Board of Directors.

Douglas Metz, M.D., currently serves as the Deputy Director of Primary Care/Family Health at the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department. Prior to moving to the Central Coast, Dr. Metz served as Chief Operating Officer at Tri-City Health Center in Fremont, Calif. and has served in leadership roles in community health center settings and other health-related nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Metz was a part time instructor in Health Sciences at San Jose State University for nine years. Dr. Metz spent 16 years of his professional life as a practicing Podiatric Physician & Surgeon in San Jose, Calif.

Mark Lisa is the Chief Executive Officer of the Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton, Calif. He previously served as the Chief Executive Office of Doctors Hospital of Manteca/Tenet, Calif. In 2011, Lisa served as President for the California Association of Healthcare leaders, which represents fifty out of fifty-eight California counties. Prior to his career in executive healthcare management, Lisa was a Naval Officer of the U.S. Navy for twenty years.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Martin’s University, and a Masters in Health Administration from Chapman University. He is an active member and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Metz and Lisa join Supervisor Adam Hill, Supervisor Janet Wolf, Richard Roberts, Jeffrey Hamm, Karen Johnson, Daniel Nielson, Kerin Mase, Lynda Tanner, René Bravo, M.D. , Kurt Ransohoff, M.D., and Dan Herlinger on the CenCal Health board.
