CalAIM envisions enhanced coordination, integration, and information exchange among managed care plans (MCPs); physical, behavioral, community-based, and social service providers; and county agencies by establishing benefits and services.

Our road map identifies data, data sharing, and information systems as a critical area for creating success in the State-wide transformation of Medi-Cal. It requires all parties to step outside of their traditional boundaries to provide a level of collaboration and coordination that addresses drivers of health.

The recommendations for data-sharing include:

• Safe and secure information sharing
• Technical infrastructure and standards to support the efficient collection, exchange, and use of patient information
• Financing, contracting, and operations, with aligned incentives, contracting, and tactics to enable the institutionalization of the programs and ensure long-term success.

Stakeholder Engagement: We will meet with your team to understand your needs and explore data-sharing adoption.

Facilitate collaborative meetings to assist with implementation and optimization of the data-sharing project.

Support for technical implementation, sustainability, and best practice sharing to advance data-sharing utilization.
